Rockbank Station

Kyriacou Architects and SMEC, in consortium with Lend Lease and Coleman Rail, are delivering the Rockbank station as part of Ballarat Line Upgrade Project. The $10 million upgrade will deliver more trains and provide extra services during peak times, helping to improve growth in large residential communities and the emerging Rockbank Major Town Centre.

Rockbank reflects the local volcanic rocks in its overpass heavy and faceted skin. Its brown colour resembles the earth around the station. The landscape reinforces this heavy nature utilizing the local rocks and mix it with resilient local flora and Lemon scented gums to soften the composition. Kyriacou Architects are Lead Architects overseeing station design and function, and Master Planning of the station precincts.
